Our District provides each school with tests to administer on a
quarterly basis. The Benchmark tests in English, Math, Science and
Social Science for grades K - 5, provides an independent assessment of
our students against the portion of the curriculum that should have been
taught during that quarter. It provides each school excellent
diagnostic information on the success of the students and teachers. We
can then take the necessary remediation actions to provide every
opportunity to be successful on the VA SOL or their next grade level.
