Message for week of 4-25-16

Good evening, Lucille Brown families, this is Mr. Morris, the principal with messages for the week. April is coming to a close marking the start of the busy season for us. All students should have received 3rd nine weeks report cards on Friday. Students should see their lunch block teachers if they did not get a report card. Please contact your child’s teacher with any questions. Remember, email links for all teachers are found at the contact page of our website. Also on the Principal’s Message page of our website we have published our tutoring schedule for math and English teachers from now through the beginning of SOL tests on May 17th. We encourage your child to take advantage of these opportunities in order to improve grades and prepare for the upcoming tests. In other happenings, we would like to congratulate our Track and Soccer teams for citywide championships in the last couple of weeks. Our flag football team continues its excellence in the PALs league on Saturdays. And this coming weekend, we have two grand events at Lucille Brown on Saturday the 30th. Our Service Learning Program is holding a benefit fair to support Syrian and Iraqi Refugees in Ankara, Turkey. Experience music, games, and other cultures, all while helping families displaced by war. The fair takes place from 11 am - 1 pm. Also Saturday evening is our special 8th Grade Formal Dance. Tickets are on sale now at lunches through Thursday. That’s all for tonight. Have a great evening.

See the Principal's Message page for more information for parents, students, and guests about after school activities and more about our school. Follow Lucille Brown on Twitter at @lmbmsrva for news on the latest happenings.
