First, allow me to extend our heartfelt gratitude for all of your tireless efforts and investments in our school as parent volunteers, business partners and individuals who contribute to us in many significant ways. Please know that your investments have yielded unimaginable rewards in the lives of our students.

The third nine weeks of school presented for our students a time of much learning, making connections and extensions, and basically having a lot of fun while doing so. Just to highlight a few exciting events- Math Night was a wonderful time enjoyed by all who attended, as teams of parents and students played math jeopardy and were entertained by our drama students who performed an original skit about various roles mathematics plays in our everyday lives. The seventh grade team sponsored a Mardi Gras dance for students celebrating their classroom successes and academic achievements. Students dressed in costumes, won prizes and had a good time. Our choir and band students made their mark at the District Assessments, walking away with several distinctions. Our school was honored as the first school to participate in the Justice in the Classroom Program sponsored by the John Marshall Foundation where the Honorable Judge Angela E. Roberts presided and spoke to our eight grade students about the historical contributions of John Marshall. Shannon Daily, a lawyer from the Hunton & Williams Law Firm also spoke to our students about her career as a lawyer. Our students recently displayed outstanding work at the Creative Writing Festival, and finally the nine weeks ended with an amazing production of Broadway on the Hill, Rewind by our talented drama department. If you missed this musical, you indeed missed a real treat!
