AUTOMOTIVE I  AUTO 102 $375

Theory & Operation - This course covers the fundamentals associated with a career path in the automotive field. The student will be provided with the basic knowledge and entry-level skills required to successfully service, diagnose and troubleshoot modern automobiles. Preparedness for the ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Brakes exam is emphasized.

AUTOMOTIVE II AUTO 202 $375

Electricity I - This course covers the fundamental of electricity and electronics. Sixty percentage of auto failure is basely electrical problems. The digital Volt Ohms Meter is the primary tool for the class. Schematic and procedures is begin diagnosis tools. Most manufacturers have procedures available but there is system to follow and diagnosis route to complete the repairs. Automotive systems theory, diagnosis, and repair will be a follow up from Automotive I. This class will cover servicing procedures of steering systems, diagnosis, and repair. Preparedness for the ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Electrical A- exam is emphasized.

AUTOMOTIVE III AUTO 302  $375

Electrical II - The course covers the fundamentals of electronic and electrical systems. Laboratory experiences will include shop safety, Scan-tool applications, body electric components, electrical fundamentals, schematic reading, and OBD II troubleshooting. Preparedness for the ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Electrical exam is emphasized.

AUTOMOTIVE IV AUTO 402 $375

Troubleshooting-The course will allow the student to perform acquired skills in troubleshooting and the diagnosis of problems with the use of Scan-tools and manufacturer diagnostic procedures for correct diagnosis. A strong emphasis will be placed on customer relations and communications. Preparedness for the ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Engine Performance exam is emphasized.

AUTOMOTIVE STATE INSPECTION PREPARATION AUTO 002 $175

In preparation for licensing, students will study the laws and use the state inspection manual as a resource for review before sitting for the state police exam. (One Semester Only)Your application is issue by area state trooper thru local shop/garage for approval and back ground check.

ASE TEST PREPARATION  AUTO 004  $175

Automotive Services Excellence Certification Students will have the opportunity to complete a study review before the fall and spring (paper and pen) national testing. Computer based testing is now available year around (Students should follow the Career Pathway of: Auto I, II, III, and INSPECTION, complete program with Auto IV, and ASE TEST PREPARATION.)

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION I  AUTO 303  $375

This course provides instruction in the construction, operation, and problem diagnosis of current model automatic transmissions used in passenger cars and light trucks. Students are prepared in the area for practical experiences they will typically encounter. (OFFERED ONLY IN THE FALL)

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION II   AUTO 304  $375

This course provides instruction in the construction, operation, and problem diagnosis of current model automatic transmissions used in passenger cars and light trucks. Students are prepared in the area for practical experiences they will typically encounter.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION III & TRANSAXLES  AUTO 305  $375

This course will include basic operating principles, service procedures, safety procedures, troubleshooting and diagnosis techniques of current transmissions and transaxles. Removal and replacement procedures will also be discussed.

DIESEL I  AUTO 202  $375

Servicing - This course studies the basic principles involved in the service and operation of diesel engines. This course will examines fuel, air, cooling, and control systems of various designs. This course includes study and examination of service procedures of diesel engines and fuel systems.

DETAILING AUTO MOBILE  AUTO 100  $375

BUSINESS -Learn to professionally detail cars and trucks for automotive (dealer preparation) and to add value to pre-owned vehicles. The course covers the essentials of preparing a car for the showroom floor and offers hand-on skills in exterior and interior maintenance for used automobiles. Certification will be discussed in class.

AUTOMOTIVE ENGINE OVERHAUL  AUTO 311  $375

Reconditioning of an engine(s) including parts replacement, boring and honing the cylinder block, milling cylinder heads, replacing valve guides and valve seats, fitting piston pins, and connecting rod replacement.

AUTOMOTIVE ENGINE REBUILDING  AUTO 313  $385

Complete machining of an engine including boring, milling cylinder heads, replacing valve guides and valve seats, fitting piston pins, and connecting rods reconditioning.

HIGH PERFORMANCE ENG REBUILD  AUTO 314  $375

This course is designed for the student interested in the building of a High Performance Engine for street and track use. The course will cover the machining and building of performance and race engines.(RECOMMENDED AFTER ENGINE OVERHAUL AND ENGINE MACHINING CLASSES) (2 SEMESTERS 150 HOURS).

MARINE SERVICES  MARINE ENG 212  $375

Outboard & Inboard Boat Services: This course is designed to prepare the student to diagnose, troubleshoot, make repairs, and maintain both outboard and inboard engines. Students are prepared in servicing and winterizing boats/marine equipment. 

MOTORCYCLE REPAIRS  MC 104  $375

REPAIRS - This course covers the basic upkeep, maintenance and repair of Harley Davidson motorcycles. Students are prepared in areas of practical experiences they will typically encounter. This course was designed for experienced technicians and riders.

SMALL ENGINES  SMNG 112  $375

This course concentrates on the repair of small engines used in lawn and garden equipment. Theory operation of small engine fuel, ignition, cooling systems, internal engine parts, adjustments and parts alignments.

MOTORCYCLE SERVICES  MOTCY 102  $375

SERVICE - This course covers the basic upkeep, maintenance and repair of Harley Davidson, Honda, and Suzuki motorcycles. Students are prepared in areas of practical experiences they will typically encounter. This course was designed for beginner.

UPHOLSTERY AUTO AND FABRIC RESTORATION  AUTO 400  $375

This course covers upholstery fiber categories, fiber identification and testing, manufacturing of the fiber and fabric, chemistry of cleaning, upholstery cleaning methods, protections, spotting and potential problems. A student will have a specific knowledge about fabric and fiber content as well as furniture construction. This enables students to identify limitations and potential cleaning related problems, on a given piece of upholstery. Information from this course can be used to quality for the IICRC exam. Those potential testers whom have neglected to obtain this pre-requisite will NOT be eligible to write the exam.
