Do you need a GED Transcript? You can visit the Adult and Continuing Education Office for a cost of $5 per transcript or you can visit the Virginia Department of Education website and request a copy of your GED Certificate or Transcipt online:



GED Fast Track

The Fast Track is designed for individuals 18 - 64 years of age who are employed or able to be employed and who demonstrate academic readiness to prepare for and pass the English Version of the GED Test.  The classes and the instructional program are structured to achieve fast results for those learners who participate.

Adult Basic Education

Courses that enable the student to work on critical thinking, reading, writing, problem solving, math, and life skills.  Please bring pens, pencils and dictionary.  Cost:  $47.00 - cash or money order only (includes: registration fee $15, textbook $20 and calculator $12)

GED Preparation

Courses that focus on Reading, Essay Writing, Grammar, Math and calculator skills to enable the learner to work on the five subjects of the GED test.  Cost:  $47.00 - cash or money order only (includes registration fee $15, textbook $20 and calculator$12)



(Individual Student Alternative Education Plan) - An intensive, individualized counseling assessment and planned academic and vocational skills program for youth 16 and 17 years of age.  Pre-requisites must be met. 



English for Speakers of Other Languages is designed for speakers of other languages who wish to learn to speak, read, and write English in an American cultural context.  Classes are available for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels.  Cost $45 - cash or money order only (includes: Registration $15 and textbook fee $30)


Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The CNA program is offered to Richmond City adult residents enrolled through the Adult Education program.  The course provides students with the opportunity to become "Health Professionals" and "Public Servants".  The training and education offered at ACDC is taught by a licensed RN and is designed to prepare students to pass the state board examination.  Passing the CNA certification exam will provide more employment opportunities.  The program runs for 18 weeks.  A standardized test and registration fees are required to enter the program.
