On February 17, 2009 President Obama signed The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, (ARRA). The purpose of ARRA is to stimulate the economy by modernizing America's infrastructures, such as schools. Richmond Public Schools has convened a special task force to oversee, manage and distribute the ARRA monies awarded to RPS in the best way possible for the growth and successes of students, teachers, staff and infrastructure.
