The
“Love A Teacher” Video Contest is the district’s second annual, student-driven,
teacher appreciation campaign designed to recognize the invaluable
contributions of Richmond Public Schools teachers.
Current Richmond Public Schools students are invited to demonstrate their
appreciation and creativity through submissions of 60-second videos (or less)
in honor of their favorite teacher. Entries will be accepted beginning February
14 - April 23, and can be submitted
online, YouTube, or delivered in DVD format by 4:00 p.m. to:

All videos will be posted on the district’s Facebook page for voting. Awards
will be given to the video with the most “likes,” as well as the school that
receives the most participation in the form of video submissions and/or
“likes.”
The deadline for submissions is April 23. Voting will
continue through April 27.
Additional Instructions:
- Students appearing in the video must have a signed photo
release form on file.
- Videos should be under 1,024mb and no more than 60 seconds.
- No use of copyright material is allowed without expressed
written permission by the copyright owner.
- YouTube submissions require a personal account. Uploaded
videos can be shared as a link to publicinfo@richmond.k12.va.us.
- The contest is open to current and former RPS students.
- Access to Facebook and YouTube is not available on RPS
computers.
- All videos are subject to review for appropriateness by the
RPS Public Information Office prior to posting.
Award Presentation:
The winning videographer, teacher and school with the most
participation will receive awards during a special assembly in May 2012 in
recognition of National Teacher Appreciation Month.
